A sales dashboard for boutiques and small retail shops
Most boutiques sell in more than one place: the shop, a website and maybe a market or pop-up. A dashboard puts those channels on one page so you can see what is actually selling, and where.
It also helps with the oldest retail question: what to reorder. Seeing your top sellers by week, not just by season, makes buying decisions less of a guess.
What to track
| Top products by units and revenue | Shows what to reorder and what to mark down. |
|---|---|
| In-store vs. online sales | Shows whether your website is a real channel or an afterthought. |
| Sales by day and by week | Reveals your real busy days, including events and local traffic. |
| Category performance | Compares apparel, accessories, gifts and so on, to guide buying. |
| New vs. returning customers | If your system tracks it, shows whether regulars drive the business. |
What a one-page dashboard looks like for boutiques
This is a sample for a fictional business, built the way we'd build yours: the headline number first, then the pattern across the week, then the top sellers.

What to look for
- Judge a product on a few weeks of sales, not a few days. One busy Saturday can flatter anything.
- Compare online and in-store by category. Some products sell better on screen than on the rack.
- If a category sells out quickly every time you restock, test a slightly higher price.
Data that usually works for boutiques: exports from Square, Shopify POS, Clover, Lightspeed-style systems, Etsy or a spreadsheet.
How to get your sales data out
Menu names change, so if you can't find these, tell us what system you use and we'll point you to the right place.
- Square: in your Square Dashboard, open Reports, choose a sales report and use Export.
- Shopify: in the Shopify admin, open Orders and use Export, or export from a report under Analytics.
- Etsy: in Shop Manager, go to Settings, then Options, then Download Data, and choose orders.
- Clover, Toast and other registers: look for a Reports or Export option and choose CSV or Excel.
- A spreadsheet or notebook: type up a few weeks with the date, what sold and the amount. That's enough to start.
You don't need to send customer names, emails, phone numbers or card details. We'd rather you leave them out.

Questions
Can you combine my Shopify store and my in-store register?
Yes. Send an export from each and we'll combine them into one view, matching on dates and products where we can.
Do you need inventory data?
Not for a sales dashboard. If you send stock levels along with sales, we can add a simple sell-through view.
Is my product data kept private?
Yes. We use your export only to build your dashboard, and we don't sell or share it. See our privacy page for the details.
