Terms of service
These terms apply to this website, the free tools and resources on it, and the reports, dashboards and related services provided by Groundwork Metrics ("we", "us"). By using the site or our services, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
What we do
We build profit reports for Shopify stores from exports the store owner provides, build one-page sales dashboards for small businesses, and offer free calculators, a checklist and templates. We are an independent business. We are not an accounting, tax, legal or financial advisor, and our reports, dashboards and tools aren't a substitute for professional advice.
Profit reports ordered through Fiverr
- Profit reports are ordered and paid through Fiverr. The package you choose sets what's included, the delivery time and the number of revisions. Fiverr's own terms govern payment, delivery, revisions, cancellations and refunds for those orders.
- Reports are built only from the files and answers you send. We never ask for your store login or staff access.
- If a cost is missing from your files, it's flagged in the report, not guessed. Estimates, such as payment fees estimated from a rate, are labeled as estimates.
- Files you send for a report are deleted within 30 days after delivery.
The free first dashboard
Your first one-page sales dashboard is free. You aren't required to buy anything afterward, and we don't need payment details to build it. We may decline a request, for example if the data isn't usable.
Monthly refresh
If you want us to refresh your dashboard, the price and what's included will be agreed with you in writing before anything is charged. There's no long-term contract. You can stop at any time by emailing us, and the change takes effect before your next billing period. We don't charge cancellation fees.
Your data
- You keep ownership of your data and of the reports and dashboards we build for you.
- You confirm you have the right to share the data with us and that sharing it doesn't break any agreement or law.
- We use your data only to build your report or dashboard and to communicate with you about it, as described in our privacy policy.
- Please don't send payment card numbers, passwords, government ID numbers, health information or other sensitive personal data. Please remove customer names, emails, phone numbers and addresses from your files where you can.
- We won't publish your business name, numbers or any quote from you without your written permission. The sample reports and dashboards on this site use fictional data.
Free tools, templates and downloads
The calculators, checklist and templates on this site are free to use for your own business. Their results are estimates based on the numbers you enter and on published rates we checked on the date shown on each page; rates can change. Please don't resell them, or share or publish them as your own work. They're provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. They aren't accounting, tax or financial software or advice, so please check anything important against your own records. The limits of liability below apply to them too.
Accuracy and no guarantees
We take care to build reports and dashboards accurately from the data you give us, and we check totals against your exports. They can only be as accurate as that data, and we aren't responsible for errors or gaps in your source data. We don't promise any particular business result, such as more sales or more profit. Decisions you make using our work are your own.
Third-party names
Names like Shopify, Fiverr, Square, Etsy, Clover, Toast, Meta, Google and Microsoft belong to their owners. We use them only to describe the tools and platforms our work involves. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of any of them.
Limits of liability
Our services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or $100 if you've paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that can't legally be limited.
Acceptable use
Please don't use this site or our services for anything unlawful, to send us harmful files, or to interfere with the site.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If you're a monthly client, we'll tell you about material changes by email before they apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless the law requires otherwise.
